At least 18 people were killed and 21 others injured in a traffic collision in east China's Anhui Province on Wednesday.
The incident took place at around 7:40 a.m. on an expressway in Fuyang City.
More than 30 vehicles are understood to have collided on this expressway amidst a shroud of fog.
At least four vehicles caught fire after the crash.
The blaze was extinguished three hours later, as of 10:38 a.m.
Reports said that at least 17 people were rescued as of 11:00 a.m. while casualty numbers are being verified.
Rescue operations are still ongoing and an investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.
This province is home to the Huangshan Mountain National Park, which is known locally as China's Yosemite.
