We're seeing some interactions between the US and Saudi Arabia recently. After Trump called out to Mideast powers to take over its role in the region, the Saudi foreign minister addressed Qatar directly, saying if it doesn't want to lose US support and be overthrown in a week, it should send troops to Syria. Are there any connections between these moves? Is Saudi Arabia acting under the influence of the US?
