Let's take a look at Sridevi's five decades in Bollywood. She started working in films at the age of four. Her debut as a lead actress in a Bollywood film was in 1978, and she soon became one of India's biggest film stars.
Sridevi appeared in a string of blockbuster hit films, including 'Chandni', 'Mr India', 'Mawali' and 'Tohfa'. She was considered one of the very few Indian female superstars capable of huge box office success without the support of a male hero.
Sridevi decided to take an acting break after the release of 'Judaai' in 1997. She made a comeback in 2012, starring in 'English Vinglish'.
