US School Shooting: Ex-student kills 17 in shooting spree at Florida high school

17 people are dead after a 19-year-old opened fire with a semi-automatic rifle at a high school in Florida on Wednesday. The shooting happened before the end of the school day at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, a city about 80 kilometers north of Miami.
A local sheriff says students and adults are among those killed. 12 of the dead were killed inside the school building. Authorities have identified the gunman as Nikolas Cruz. He was previously a student at the school and was expelled for disciplinary reasons.
