With summer in full swing, May is a special MONTH for the National Center for the Performing Arts each year, as artists put on performances outside the concert halls. But one performance was held a bit further away for passengers on a bullet train.
This railway journey is in no way tiring or boring for its passengers. Violinists and singers from the National Center for the Performing Arts performed for hundreds of passengers on a Fuxing bullet train in China. For passengers, it was truly a unique experience.
LI HUI PASSENGER "I'm so surprised to see such a great performance on the bullet train. I enjoyed it a lot."
JIN ZHIPENG PASSENGER "I've never been to a concert before. The music and the atmosphere were amazing."
Performers hope that the half an hour railway concert is not just a surprise for passengers, but would inspire more people to love music.
LIU XIAO VIOLINIST "A concert hall can hold two thousand audience members at the most, but if we perform out of it, we could have a lot more people enjoying a high standard musical performance."
CHEN XI VIOLINIST "Every person should be given the chance to feel music and be accompanied by music."
And from trains to other venues! This month, more artists from the National Center of the Performing Arts will bring their music to different places out of its concert halls, like hospitals and art galleries. LQ, CGTN.
