Duterte government to abolish agency hunting Marcos' assets

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte's government plans to abolish the agency tasked with retrieving the billions of dollars looted by former President Ferdinand Marcos, a cabinet member said on Wednesday.
The Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) was set up three decades ago, after a bloodless "People Power" revolt toppled Marcos. It was set to recover the assets embezzled by Marcos and his allies during his 20 years in power.
The announcement was the latest development in the political rehabilitation of the Marcos clan, which has accelerated since Duterte took office.
