The standing committee of China's top legislature, the National People's Congress, convened its bi-monthly session on Friday.
Legislators will continue to review drafts of laws on supervision, a tobacco leaf tax, a ship tonnage tax and the prevention of soil pollution, as well as a draft revision to the law on farmers' specialized cooperatives.
Up for deliberation are bills to discuss draft laws on basic medical care and health promotion, international criminal judicial assistance, and a draft revision to the law on metrology.
