Syria says Israeli planes hit army positions in Hama

Israeli warplanes targeted a Syrian military position near Masyaf in Hama province early Thursday morning from the Lebanese airspace, killing two soldiers and causing material damage, the Syrian army general command said in a statement.
A spokeswoman for the Israeli army declined to discuss reports of a strike in Syria, saying the army does not comment on operational matters.
