Liaoning aircraft carrier promotion video rocks Chinese social media

A three minutes long promotion video on China's Liaoning aircraft carrier has been released on Chinese social media platform Weibo, and has become an instant hit.
The post received millions of views and more than 19,000 likes. The film shows landing practice routines, live ammunition drills, aerial views and a look inside the aircraft carrier.
The Liaoning, a Type 001 aircraft carrier, is the first aircraft carrier commissioned into the People's Liberation Army Navy Surface Force. It is classified as a training ship, intended to allow the navy to experiment and gain familiarity with aircraft carrier operations.
The promotional film was released ahead of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), which falls on the 1st of August.
