Ma played the hero in the short film Gong Shou Dao, alongside action stars Jet Li, Donnie Yen and Wu Jing. In addition to acting, Ma also said he liked singing and has modeled on different occasions.
"Chinese people like low key, I am unique," said Ma at the contention. "Personality is your destiny...I never experience business training and always work on my business with a teacher’s mentality by sharing. I have been to many countries and communicated with different entrepreneurs and scholars, I would like to share experience from my work and studying."
During a conversation at the Entrepreneurs Convention, Ma brought up his epitaph, mentioning that he would like it to read "Hangzhouer, liked Tai Chi, did a lot, and by the way, formed a company."
"This is the life, we are not born for work, and we are live for living, experiencing and making friends. We cannot change people’s thinking, so whatever people look at me, I don’t care."
