CPC National Congress third press conference: Understanding China and Japan exchanges. Guo Yezhou, vice minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), spoke at a press conference held by the press center of the 19th CPC National Congress in Beijing on Saturday. Next year marks the 40th anniversary of the China-Japan Peace and Friendship Treaty. Responding to a Japanese reporter's question if there would be any exchanges between parties, commemorative activities and an exchange of visits by the two countries' presidents, Guo said such high-level visits between the two countries need "popular support and the understanding from our people".
