UN Chief in China: President Xi meets Guterres in Beijing

Chinese President Xi Jinping has also met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Xi stressed that defending the United Nation's authority and stature is fundamental to Chinese diplomacy. He said there is a need to improve international governance systems and capabilities. And he said China is willing to share its development opportunities and experiences with the world.

Following his visit to Beijing, the UN chief will also attend the Bo'ao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2018 in China's Hainan province.
