Wang Yi: Russian people will make right choice in presidential election

"Russia has made huge achievements under the leadership of President Vladimir Putin. I believe the Russian people will make the right choice in the upcoming election," said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday.
Wang made the remarks at a press conference in Beijing on the sidelines of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC), answering questions on China's foreign policy and external relations.
The Russian presidential election will take place on March 18.
"Russia is a resilient country. Best wishes to Russia and its people," said Wang.
Wang also stressed that bilateral ties between the countries are as unshakable as a mountain.
