According to the work report of the Supreme People's Court, over the past five years, China's court system has processed graft cases involving 101 former officials at the provincial and ministerial level or above. And courts at various levels have processed over 190-thousand graft cases. More than 260-thousand people were implicated.  In 2013, CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping maintained the importance of developing national legislation to fight corruption. This year, the CPC Central Committee stressed efforts to establish a national supervisory system. This is to ensure supervision over everyone working in the public sector who exercises public power.
