"The CPC (Communist Party of China) Central Committee and General Secretary Xi Jinping have stressed on many occasions that the Constitution shall prevail in governing the country. The CPC, the state organs and other organizations at all levels shall abide by and uphold the Constitution," Shen Chunyao, chairman of the Commission for Legislative Affairs of the 12th NPC Standing Committee, told reporters at a press conference about China’s constitutional amendments on Sunday.
