Lin Dan takes down top seed Son for a spot in the Badminton World Championship final

Five-time World champion, Lin Dan defeated top seed Son Wan-ho of South Korea, for a spot in the final of the 2017 Badminton World Championship in Glasgow.
The 33-year-old Chinese veteran holds the advantage in this rivalry, winning 8 of their 12 encounters. He will compete in the finals for the first time since 2013.

Lin trailed in the opener, but won five of the last six points winning the first game 21-17.
The top seed lost focus in the second, and Lin went in front 11-9. Lin looked fresher and was able to whip a forehand into the open court taking a four point advantage.

Fast forward to match point, the top seed trailed 20-14. Son's return found the net as Lin won it 21-17, 21-14 to advance to the final.
Super Dan will seek a record sixth title in a battle against Viktor Axelsen in the final on Monday.
