A souvenir passport is released at the Beijing International Horticultural Expo. You can find a booklet with flowery pages and collect unique stamps in different pavilions around the expo. CGTN reporter Wang Mengzhen did just that, and also interviewed tourists doing the same.
WANG MENGZHEN BEIJING "Well, I just spent 30 yuan, that's about 4 US dollars to get this passport. The first stop I chose to collect stamp is the China Pavilion to collect the stamp. So here we go."
A total of over 100 stamps are offered by participating countries and international organizations. And sometimes it's more than just stamps.
PISANWATANASIN SUTTHINEE, STAFF THAILAND TOURISM AUTHORITY "We have Thai name writing. When I write something in Thai, people like oh, just curious what this is about. That's why I got some ideas."
National flowers of different countries were printed on each page of the passport. No matter it's a passport or an album, people call this a passion.
"I like this stamp from Nicaragua. Look at the sky, the rain and even the rainbow here."
"I've collected almost 100 stamps since 8:30 this morning. It feels like touring the whole world within one day and I've learned more about these countries."
But be patient with the crowds during public holidays like today.
WANG MENGZHEN BEIJING "Mission accomplished. Well, after a whole day, I collected countless stamps and a sense of harvest. WANG MENGZHEN, CGTN, AT BEIJING INTERNATIONAL HORTICULTURAL EXPO."
