The European Union has filed an appeal against a recent World Trade Organization ruling, which largely cleared the United States over its state aid for Boeing.
The WTO’s dispute panel had earlier this month, found that the US had dealt with all but one of the instances of illegal subsidies to the aerospace giant.
However, the EU claims that Boeing is still under US support - leading to an unfair advantage aiming to monopolize the market.

The EU-WTO fight belongs to a 13-year dispute between the bloc and the US over support offered to Boeing and Europe's Airbus.
In 2012, the WTO found that state and federal programmers provided Boeing with billions of US dollars in illegal subsidies. Earlier this month on June 9, the WTO's dispute panel found most of those issues had been addressed.
According to the BBC, despite the WTO's ruling, Boeing still has quite a large amount of tax benefits provided by the state of Washington.
Data shows, the generous tax benefits are worth an estimated 800 million dollars.
