Korean Peninsula Issue: Japanese PM holds talks with South Korean intelligence chief
[]
South Korea's national intelligence chief, Suh Hoon, has met Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to brief him on the progress in talks with DPRK. Abe said it was "extremely important" that Pyongyang takes "concrete actions" on denuclearisation. Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono says the two sides agreed that maximum pressure must be maintained on Pyongyang until there is concrete action. South Korean President Moon Jae-in and US President Donald Trump both plan to meet the DPRK's supreme leader Kim Jong Un in late April and May.
