The man who drove his car into a police van in Paris was a licensed gun owner with a sizable arsenal, even though he was on a terror watch list.
Adam Dzaziri plowed his car into a packed police van near Champs-Elysees, setting off a small explosion. He was killed in the attack. Police found a pair of handguns, an assault rifle, ammunition and two hefty cans of teargas in his car.
Investigators found nine more weapons in his suburban Paris home. They included two more pistols and a Kalashnikov-style assault rifle. Dzaziri had been placed on France’s so-called “Fiche S,” a jihadist watch list. Four people believed to be connected with the attack were arrested overnight.
