Xi Jinping on Wednesday pledged to work diligently to “meet our duty, fulfill our mission" and earn the trust of CPC members.
Xi made the remarks as the newly-elected members of the Standing Committee of the 19th CPC Central Committee Political Bureau met Chinese and foreign journalists.
"Over the past five years, we have set out a broad agenda. Some tasks have been completed, while others need more work. This Party Congress has set new goals and new tasks. We must make coordinated efforts to see them through," he said.
Xi Jinping, Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Wang Huning, Zhao Leji and Han Zheng have been elected members of the Standing Committee of the 19th CPC Central Committee Political Bureau at the first plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee on Wednesday.
