In Gaza, the bodies of two Palestinian teenagers killed in Israeli attacks on Saturday have been buried.

Israel was responding to an explosion on its Palestinian border that wounded four of its soldiers. Its military said it used air strikes and tank fire on 18 sites in the Gaza Strip which it believed belonged to militants. It added that the tank fire was targeting suspects whom the troops thought were trying to cross into Israeli territory. Gaza medics said the two teenagers lost their lives in such an attack. The flare-up is being seen as one of the biggest in that area since 2014.
