French police arrest man who tried to ram car into soldiers

French police have detained a man after a group of soldiers were almost hit by a car while jogging outside their base in the foothills of the Alps in southeast France.
The incident took place in Varces-Allières-et-Risset at 09:00 local time (0700 GMT) on Thursday, with no casualties reported.
The suspect was arrested in a stolen Peugeot 208 in Grenoble, about 15 kilometers to the north of the place where the attack happened.
The possible attack occurred just days after the terrorist attack in Trebes, although the motive behind the attack has not yet been confirmed.
