The long anticipated official show of China's J-20 stealth jet fighter came in a military parade commemorating the 90th founding anniversary of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) on Sunday. The squadron of three J-20s, in a wedge formation, flew over the parade field in Zhurihe military training base in northern China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
J-20, a long-range, radar-avoiding stealth combat aircraft, became a highlight of the grand parade, and aroused excitement among the audience, giving the world a glimpse of China's state-of-the-art military development.

It was the first time worldwide that the fourth generations of fighter jets participate in a military parade.
J-20 is China's first domestic-built supersonic stealth fighter of the fourth generation, marking the first entry of a multirole stealth fighter into China’s armed forces, and a core component in the strategic transformation of an air force capable for both offensive and defensive operations.
It made its public deut at the 11th China International Aviation and Aerospace Exhibition in Zhuhai, south China's Guangdong Province, on December 2016. It went into service with the PLA Air Force in March this year.
