China's Landscape Changes: Two generations turn over 42,000 hectares desert into fertile land

Encroaching sands used to be a problem in Central China's Mu Us Desert, but farmers there are turning them back. Zhang Liqiang grew up on the southern fringe of the desert. He's been taking part in greening efforts since he was a child. Two generations of his family have completed afforestation of over 42-thousand hectares and stabilized the sand over 66-thousand hectares.
