China has seen stable and sound growth over the past five years, said He Lifeng, secretary of the CPC Leading Group and minister of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC). He made the remarks at a press conference on China’s economic development on Saturday and said that from 2012 to 2016, the country’s economy grew by 7.2 percent annually on average and is expected to exceed 80 trillion yuan at the end of this year.
