Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA), the China Civil Aviation Science Popularization Foundation (CCASPF) and Tencent signed a strategic agreement on Friday governing the idea of constructing smart airports.
The three parties will share business, industry resources and technology on the grounds of passengers requests and information technology to create an ecosystem of smart air travel, according to the agreement.
Han Zhiliang, general manager of BCIA, said the three parties will develop cooperation in fields such as big data, cloud computing, and the use of mini apps to improve the accuracy and timeliness of airport services.
They will also strengthen communication and cooperation in airport operations, security management and brand marketing, he added.
