China's national invention exhibition focuses on civil and military integration

The 22nd National Invention Exhibition (NIE) opened Thursday in Foshan, south China's Guangdong Province, according to multiple Chinese media sources.

With the theme of "Invention, Intelligent Manufacturing, Dream" this year, the three-day exhibition will present the latest invention and innovation of China and provide a communication platform for international academics to change minds. It is tasked to promote the innovative entrepreneurship and inspire public interest for scientific invention.
This year, the exhibition expects to welcome visitors from over 40 foreign countries as well as national and international organizations, and hold forums covering cut-edging technologies such as artificial intelligent and virtual reality.

Compared to former exhibitions, this year's NIE sets special exhibition zone for civil and military integration, which is the first time for the NIE to focus on the civil application of high-end military technology.
In addition, 2,452 kinds of patents related to national defense technology will be presented for the first time to the public during the exhibition.
