Voting has ended in Iraq's first national election since the country declared victory over the Islamic State group. Over 7,000 candidates are running for 329 seats in a parliament that will choose a new president, prime minister, and government. The vote was the fourth since the 2003 US-led toppling of Saddam Hussein. According to Iraq's Independent High Electoral Commission, turnout was 44.52 percent with 92 percent of the votes counted. That's significantly lower than in previous elections. Results are due to be officially announced on Monday.
