CBA: Liaoning edge defending champions Xinjiang 110-108

Leading by 30 points in the first half, Liaoning stayed strong to score a tough 110-108 road victory over Xinjiang in Wednesday's second round of the CBA.
Lester Hudson had 33 points, seven rebounds, six assists and four steals, Guo Ailun contributed 16 points and seven assists. Darius Adams of Xinjiang scored game-high 38 points. His teammates Shirelijan Muxtar and Yu Changdong both got 17 points.
Liaoning had a dream start of 20-5. Shirelijan fired two three-pointers to help the home team cut the deficit down to 28-15 at the end of the first quarter.

Liaoning extended their lead after the break, leading with 56-26 after Guo’s consecutive three-pointers and Li Xiaoxu's slamdunk. Hudson kept a 9-9 shooting record to help the guest team finish the first half 63-42.
The defending champions began to revive after the interval, storming 23-7 and 18-4, trimmed the gap to only one point. Point guard of the national team Zhao Jiwei shot behind the arc to help Liaoning lead by 110-106 then he fouled on Adams. The latter hit two free throws before Shirelijan's last-second three-pointer missed the target.
