Residents travel 260 meters high over the Jinsha River Two thousand villagers from Qiaojia county in southwest China’s Yunnan Province cross the Jinsha River using just two steel ropes. As you can see from the video, people get into an iron welding basket which is hung on the ropes. The steel ropes are 470 meters long and 260 meters above the river, hanging over the Jinsha River. A bridge is set to be completed in 2017 to replace the steel ropes to bring more convenience to the villagers.
