Former Jiangsu vice governor sentenced to 12 years in jail for bribery

Li Yunfeng, former vice governor of east China's Jiangsu Province, was handed down 12 years of imprisonment and a fine of 1.5 million yuan (about 237,000 US dollars) for accepting bribes.
According to a court in east China's Shandong Province on Thursday, Li took advantage of his positions to seek benefits for others in obtaining contracts and promotions, and accepting money and gifts worth more than 14.8 million yuan (about 2.4 million US dollars) between 2003 and 2014.
