Syrian Kurdish forces and their Arab allies fully captured the eastern Deir al-Zor countryside from ISIL, with the help of both the US-led coalition and Russia, the Kurdish YPG militia said on Sunday.
The YPG said coalition and Russian forces in Syria had provided "air and logistical support, advice and coordination on the ground" and that it hoped this support would increase.
The Syrian army, with Russian air power and Iran-backed militias, is waging an offensive against ISIL in the eastern Deir al-Zor Province, where ISIL has its last significant stronghold.

On Friday, RIA news agency cited the Russian Defense Ministry as saying that six Russian long-range bombers hit ISIL targets in the province.
Syria's army and its allies will keep fighting in Syria after the battle ends in Deir al-Zor, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said in early November.
He also indicated that he might fight the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which controls more than a quarter of Syria, by saying the war targeted those who seek to "divide and weaken states."
