AI technology highlighted at 19th China High-tech Fair

Advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technology is the highlight of the 19th China High-tech Fair which ends in Shenzhen City in south China's Guangdong Province on Tuesday.
Among various AI products displayed at the fair is an intelligent recognition system which has drawn much attention as it can precisely match a person's appearance with their ID picture regardless of the differences in age, hairstyle and appearance.
Also attracting attention is a robot arm that can emulate the movement of a human arm.
"We have placed 12 sensors on the robot arm. Based on the accurate feedback, the robot arm can grab a stone, an egg, and even a balloon without breaking the balloon," said Yue Ye, a researcher at the Beijing Institute of Nanoenergy and Nanosystems of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The fair, which opened on Thursday, is the largest and most influential national sci-tech expo in China, offering a professional platform to demonstrate the country's technological innovation and industry upgrading.
