Syrian Democratic Forces closing in on ISIL holdouts

The Syrian Democratic Forces have seized a number of neighborhoods from ISIL in their Syrian stronghold of Raqqa.
UK’s Sky News on Sunday showed footage of fighters from the US-backed rebel alliance firing at ISIL group positions on the outskirts of the city. The Kurdish-led alliance had been gradually pushing back against ISIL and freeing prisoners since they began their campaign one month ago.
However, ISIL militants have provided stern resistance with many using tunnels to sneak across the alliance's lines and launch attacks.
