We turn to southwest China's Sichuan province, where a forest fire that killed 30 people -- 27 firefighters and three locals -- has finally been brought under control. Firefighters, aided by helicopters, are searching the affected area to make sure the fire does not restart. The blaze broke out at about 6 PM on Saturday, and it proceeded to burn across 20 hectares of terrain in a remote mountainous area. Locals paid tribute to those who lost their lives by laying flowers and lighting candles. CGTN's Tao Yuan has more.

Forestry officials say the fires have now been put out. An investigation is underway to find out what caused the fire and how it took the lives of so many people.
What we do know right now is the weather in the rugged mountains of Liangshan can be extremely dry. Strong winds and high temperatures can cause forest fires to spread quickly.
