Festivities are in the air as millions of Chinese crowd train stations and airports to head home in time for the Spring Festival, which is only days away.
For thousands of years, it has been the biggest and most important festival for the Chinese. Nowadays, as more people around the globe embrace the idea of celebrating the event, the festival is no longer a holiday just for the Chinese.
At the China Global Television Network (CGTN), the news anchors from the multi-language channels have prepared special New Year greetings to audiences all over the world through CGTN Digital.
They are CGTN English’s Jeff Moody, CGTN Spanish’s David Ramírez, CGTN French’s Mo Yan, CGTN Arabic’s Khawla Cherif and CGTN Russian’s Alesia Korzun.
Living in China for a while and working with their Chinese colleagues at CGTN’s Beijing headquarters, they all have their own special memories of China.
Besides their roles as news anchors, each of them has added a little “magic” to their New Year greetings. To be honest, they should each get an award for either their “magic” or their actions. What do you say?
Last but not least, they’re preparing for only one purpose: Wishing you a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year! Happy Year of the Dog!
