In a fresh twist to the Larry Nassar case, a male gymnast has revealed that he was sexually abused by the former doctor.
Jacob Moore, a former member of the US men’s junior national gymnastics team, has become the first man to accuse the fallen-from-grace doctor, filing a lawsuit against Nassar, USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University.
Moore recounted his traumatic experience during a press conference. Flanked by his lawyers, the 18-year-old alleged that two years ago, while seeking treatment for a shoulder injury, Nassar performed acupuncture on his genitalia and exposed him to a girl in the office, who was also a minor. The teenager has also mentioned that his decision to come forward came after watching his sister and other women testify earlier this year.

“I was inspired by my sister and everyone else in this community to come out and help bring change to what allowed this to happen. I don’t want (other victims) to be scared to come out because of stigma that guys can’t be sexually abused or taken advantage of,” reveals the young gymnast.
Nassar, who had served as the team physician for the US gymnastics for about two decades, has already pleaded guilty to criminal sexual conduct in two counties in Michigan and admitted to using his trusted medical position to sexually abuse his patients under the guise of medical treatment and has been sentenced to life in prison.
