Meanwhile, the Japanese prime minister says he is keen to speak to Donald Trump ahead of the planned US-DPRK summit.
Shinzo Abe said he would like to explain Tokyo's stance on the DPRK's abduction of Japanese citizens forty years ago, and ensure Japan isn't forgotten when any deal is being made with Pyongyang. Japan is reportedly also open to a summit with the DPRK.
