A delegation of officials from the US state Iowa, including Governor Kim Reynolds, has started a 10-day trade mission to China.
Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang met Reynolds in Beijing on Tuesday.
Wang and Reynolds discussed a variety of issues, including China-US trade ties and agricultural cooperation.
Reynolds and her delegation will travel to Shanghai and Xi’an following their stay in Beijing.
The 10-day trip is the first time that Iowa’s leading agricultural representatives have traveled together on an overseas trade mission.
