Ahead of President Xi's visit, China's Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Ni Jian, has called for a new chapter in bilateral relations. He says the two countries are at the best period of development in history. Zhang Dan has more.
The UAE is the first Gulf country to forge a strategic partnership with China. Ambassador Ni said President Xi's visit holds major significance in the development of friendship and cooperation.

China and the UAE have been carrying out extensive, in-depth and substantial cooperation within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, which plays a leading role in cooperation between China and Arab countries.
