At least 16 people were injured after armed men stormed the campus of an agriculture university in the Pakistani city of Peshawar on Friday morning, Pakistani Dawn News said.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan quickly claimed responsibility for the attack.
Among the injured were four police officers, one journalist, and seven students. All victims have been transferred to a hospital.
Police arrived at the scene and cordoned off the campus, while the attackers were still inside.
At least three attackers were shot dead, local police said, adding that some students have been rescued.
The college was closed for the celebrations of Prophet Muhammad's birthday, so there were a few people on campus.
