China hoped to make use of the seminar to deepen communication on human rights between China and Europe, enhance mutual trust and upgrade practical cooperation, said Cui.
Many scholars from Europe believed protecting the human rights of the disabled was vital for the development of society. They called on the international community to respect and protect human rights of disabled people and expected all individuals to share the fruits of human development together.
Cui also mentioned Chinese President Xi Jinping's speech at Geneva this January, where he emphasized the idea of building a community of common destiny for all mankind.

China actively participated in the protection of human rights around the globe and offered its own strategies on human rights to the international community, said Cui. She also noted Beijing's contributions to realize the United Nations' human development goals.
European scholars said although China and Europe may have cultural differences, both sides were making great efforts to create a better life for all citizens.
The scholars also echoed on Xi's idea of building a community of common destiny for all mankind, saying that it's significant in guiding the cooperation on human rights between China and the European Union.
