At least 35 dead in Taliban-claimed attack near Afghan politician's home

At least 35 people were killed and 42 others were injured in a car bomb attack in the western side of Afghan capital Kabul on Monday. Local authorities say the death toll may rise.
The explosion took place at around 6:45 a.m. local time when a suicide bomber detonated the bomb in the car near the home of Mohammad Mohaqiq, a member of the Afghan Parliament and the deputy chief executive of the government, according to TOLO television.
Taliban claimed responsibility in a statement to media.
