Anna Chan Chennault Dies: Widow of Flying Tigers' general dies at 94

Anna Chan Chennault, widow of the leader of the World War Two Flying Tigers squadron Claire Lee Chennault, has died at the age of 94.
Chennault was also known by her Chinese name, Chen Xiangmei. She died in Washington on Friday, three months after suffering a stroke. She was born in Beijing in 1923. She met her husband while working as a war correspondent and they married in 1947. Anna Chennault had been active in US political and diplomatic fields. She was dedicated to facilitating friendship and cooperation between the United States and China. For this, she was called a "folk ambassador".
