The age of competitive gamers usually caps around the mid to late thirties. Probably most gamers are asked (or blamed) by their parents with the same question: can you play the game when you are old?
A Swedish team, the Silver Snipers play for the love of the gaming, ranges up to 80s, and they can answer the question: yes.

The Silver Sniper means business and have a dream to win at DreamHack Winter 2017 in December. They did not spend lots of hours on the video game, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO). The team includes three males and two females. The youngest player, Monica is 62 years old and is named “Teen Slayer,” the Idenfors in the team who has the most hours played with 69. The oldest player is Betil, 81 years-old with 55 hours played and is named “Berra-Bange,” the Englund in the game, reported by Dexerto.

In comparison, the Sweden’s favorites and recent champions, Ninjas in Pyjamas have a current average age of 24 years-old. The Silver Sniper team is almost three-times the age of the Ninjas. Lots of netizens expressed that they feel they can remain gamers after their retirement. “I hope I can be as cool as them when I (become) old,” the netizen @siwendefengziyun commented.
The team hired a professional gamer to coach them. Tommy ‘Potti’ Ingermarsson is the legend of CS player in 2000s and also is one of the co-founders of Ninjas in Pyjamas team. Potti has won numerous awards. To name a few - four Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) World Championships, three CPL European Championships, one World Cyber Games (WCG) World Championship and countless honor on other tournaments. Potti has proven his credibility in CS game area. People look forward to seeing the Silver Snipers’ show their skills at DreamHack in December.
