China-Argentina Relations: CCTV-RTA co-produce documentaries to boost ties

The premiere for the documentaries called "Glamorous Argentina and Glamorous China", has been held in Buenos Aires. The films were co-produced by China and Argentina. The first of its kind collaboration for both sides aimed at boosting understanding. CGTN's Zou Yun has more.
What do Chinese know about Argentina? And what do Argentinians know about China? If not much, two documentaries that were co-produced by China and Argentina's state-run media networks will give the viewers a better understanding about the best the two countries have to offer.
Glamorous Argentina was filmed by China Media Group's CCTV documentary channel crews. They spent 50 days in Argentina, interviewing 40 different people, from all walks of life. They also explored an extensive area of the country from big cities to small villages. With a large number of vivid images, the film presents a charming Argentina where historical tradition and modern elements are intertwined while natural scenery and cultural landscape are integrated.
Shen Haixiong, president of China Media Group said the cooperation between the two networks plays a key role in promoting China -Argentina cultural exchanges and enhancing mutual understanding between the countries.

Glamorous China was filmed by Argentine Radio and Television crew members. They travelled to China and stayed for 21 days. They chose four cities Beijing, Shanghai, Guizhou and Hangzhou to demonstrate the vibrant and various looks of China, a country with 5,000 years of history and rich culture.

This is the first time that China and Argentina have worked together in a co-production, and the documentaries are expected to be broadcast on both CCTV and RTA networks.
