Democrats and Republicans agree on bill against Russia, Iran and DPRK
[]
US congressional Democrats and Republicans on Saturday reached a deal on legislation allowing new sanctions against Russia, Iran and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.
The "Countering Iran's Destabilizing Activities Act” passed the Senate a month ago. But it was held up in the House of Representatives after Republicans proposed including Pyongyang sanctions in the bill.
Both chambers will have to pass the revised legislation. House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi expressed hope the delay would not prevent Congress from immediately enacting Russia sanctions legislation.
