Welcome back to China 24. Chinese telecom giant "ZTE" denies it's involved in any high-tech espionage in the United States. The company said Thursday it's proud of its products' innovation and security in the American market, adding it takes cyber-security and privacy seriously and is trusted by many US consumers.
During Tuesday's US Senate Intelligence Committee hearing, six top American intelligence chiefs expressed their distrust of ZTE and fellow Chinese company, Huawei. US officials said Americans should not use the Chinese products out of concerns of espionage. The Chinese firms were previously a target of an investigation back in 2012, when the US claimed the two were threatening critical infrastructure.
