CGTN’s anchor Tian Wei shares her opinion on senior Chinese official Liu He’s speech on China’s economic policy at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting on Wednesday.
Liu He, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and director of the General Office of the Central Leading Group for Financial and Economic Affairs, has reiterated China’s commitment to more inclusive and market oriented polices going forward, providing ample opportunities for economies across the world.
According to Tian, what has attracted the attention of the delegates to Liu’s speech is that China will be committed to the reform policy implemented over the past 40 years and will reduce financial risks and further open up the market to the rest of the world.
Speaking of the significance of Liu’s speech, Tian said, “I’m sure it’s going to embark a great debate here at the World Economic Forum, it’s going to set the stage for many other state leaders as well from other parts of the world to see what they have in mind on all of these issues.”
